Role Summary:

The Catering Sales Manager represents the company in communications with event clients for weddings, corporate events, social events, and non-profit events. Responsibilities include selling catering services, documenting event details in catering software, coordinating event details with colleagues to set events up for success, and at all times bringing hospitality to the company’s client relations. Catering Sales Managers are passionate about food, drink, service, and hospitality.

C ompensation & Benefits:

• $70,000 base salary + commission (total compensation estimated between $100,000 - $125,000)

R esponsibilities

• Respond to client inquiries in a timely manner with comprehensive information about catering services, menus, drink options, and company’s hospitality offerings
• Work with culinary team to create custom menus, meet client’s requests, and deliver creative, upscale catering options
• Work with operations and service teams to prepare events for success according to how event is sold and planned for
• Document all event details in a clear, concise way into the catering software to create BEOs, event worksheets, invoices, menus, and proposals
• Communicate event details through multiple forms of communications including catering software, distributing event worksheets, attending BEO meetings, and staff software
• Promote the company’s catering services to win new business and field opportunities
• Work in Total Party Planner, NOWSTA, PartySlate, and CVENT to prepare for events as needed
• Other responsibilities as needed to deliver great hospitality for event clients

Qualifications

• Catering, hospitality, restaurant experience
• Sales and/or client relations experience
• Great teamwork and hospitality skills
• Proficient in company’s technology
• Strong communication skills
• Able to grasp and reach overhead
• Must be able to lift, move, and carry 50+lbs
• Must be able to work 8+ hours a day on feet
• Servsafe allergen certified (or willing to obtain upon starting)
