At Smithtown Pediatric Dental we are looking for somone who loves working with kids, is dedicated and enthusiastic, for our front desk receptionist position.This is a great opportunity to join a patient focused dental team where your attention to detail will be valued and make a difference everyday.

Responsibilities:

*Greet and check in patients, creating a warm and welcoming front office experience while creating a first impression of our team.

* Schedule, confirm and manage patient appointments using a dental practice software.

* Answer incoming calls, take messages and respond to patient's inquiries.

* Ability to verify insurance benefits and answer patient's insurance questions.

* Collect payments at the time of visit and manage collections.

* Filing, typing, checking emails and corresponding with patients.

* Obtaining information for new patients.

* Utilize Dentrix for patient scheduling and records.

* Review treatment plan fees and payment options with patients.

* Know billing process and be able to post payments in patient's accounts.

Skills:

* Strong understanding of dental terminology.

* Be a strong communicator and answer phones in a kind manner.

* Friendly, upbeat and dependable personality, and strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and staff.

* Prior experience in a dental front office, administrative or receptionist role.
