Overview:
Woven is a personal training studio in Boerum Hill, Brooklyn, and we're looking to expand our team by adding another personal trainer to meet growing demand for 1-on-1 and semi-private training.
Please note: This role will start as part-time and expand to full-time in March.
This role is an excellent fit for a personal trainer with one to two years of training experience who wants to turn their passion into a sustainable career. We are offering above-market commission rates and strong incentives to help us grow our business. We hold ourselves to the highest possible training standards and expect our coaches to be willing to learn and grow.
Our brand is built on empathy; we want our clients not only to improve their fitness but also to develop a better relationship with the gym. We work primarily with parents and busy working professionals, and we need a coach who is detail-oriented but can also speak to the bigger picture of how fitness fits into our clients' lives without judgment.
Duties:
- Deliver one-on-one and semi-private personal training sessions as needed
- Design effective programs within the existing Woven's training framework
- Be willing and able to adapt the client's programs based on intra/inter-session feedback
- Communicate with clients proactively, answering questions and receiving feedback as necessary to ensure an incredible member experience
- Engage with our in-house continuing education curriculum
Experience:
- At Woven, we are committed to hiring those who are an excellent fit for our culture and can grow with our team. Previous experience in this industry will speed up your onboarding process but is not required to apply.
- Likewise, traditional education in this field is a bonus but not a prerequisite. Regardless of your educational background, you must be willing to challenge your biases and commit to growing as part of our team.
- Nationally Accredited Personal Training Certification is required.
Skills:
- Charismatic - This role requires you to engage with our clients and create a fun, welcoming environment
- Strong communicator- Need to be able to clearly communicate both verbally and over various forms of communication (email, text, phone, etc.)
- Empathetic - We are a non-judgmental place for many of our clients to begin or restart their fitness journey.
- Ability to multitask - Semi-private personal training requires the ability to triage and continually scan the room to see what needs your attention the most at any given point in time.
- Knowledgeable - Need to understand points of performance for exercises to be able to give clear and fast directions. Need to troubleshoot on the fly.
- Ability to work effectively in a team - we want you to have ideas for how we can make our product better, and be willing to bring those ideas to us
- Willingness to grow and learn, to challenge and be challenged
