Case Manager / Paralegal – Tax, Corporate & SBA Practice

Location: New York, NY

Work Arrangement: In-office

Goldburd McCone LLP is seeking a Case Manager / Paralegal to support our tax, corporate, and SBA practice groups. The position involves managing matters from intake through resolution and working closely with attorneys on tax or tax controversy, corporate, and SBA matters.

This role is ideal for someone who is organized, a self-starter, detail-oriented, and comfortable serving as the day-to-day point of contact for clients while keeping multiple matters moving in a fast-paced legal environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage tax, corporate, and SBA matters from intake through resolution
\n
• Serve as the primary client contact for status updates, document requests, and scheduling
\n
• Prepare correspondence, forms, filings, and supporting packages for attorney review
\n
• Gather, organize, and review financial records, including tax returns, bank statements, and loan documentation
\n
• Draft letters, prepare any controversy related filings etc.
\n
• Track deadlines, follow-ups, and correspondence with the IRS, state tax agencies, and the SBA
\n
• Coordinate with attorneys, accountants, clients, and third parties to keep matters on schedule
\n
• Maintain organized case files and provide regular status reporting to attorneys
\n

Qualifications

\n
• Experience in a tax, accounting, financial services, or SBA/lending environment preferred
\n
• Prior paralegal or case management experience in a law firm or professional services setting
\n
• Comfort reading and organizing financial documents
\n
• Strong organizational and document management skills
\n
• Ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously and follow through without supervision
\n
• Professional written and verbal communication skills, including with clients under financial stress
\n
• Proficiency with case management software and Microsoft Office
\n

Compensation

\n
• $65,000 – $95,000 depending on experience
\n
• Full-time, in-office position in our New York office
\n
